Meet Cassie & Lexie
We're Cassie Major and Lexie Frisch, wives and co-founders of Puddleduck Farms Ohio, LLC — an 8-acre diversified small farm in Diamond, Ohio, established in 2026. We believe small-scale Ohio farms can generate real agricultural livelihoods outside of commodity production, and we're building that proof right here in Portage County.
Why It Matters
North America has lost nearly 3 billion birds since 1970. More than one in five native pollinator species are now at elevated risk of extinction. These aren't distant statistics — they show up in Ohio harvests every season. Pollinators support more than 100 commercial crops and contribute an estimated $34 billion annually to U.S. agriculture. The loop is simple: plant the right seed, feed the right wildlife, keep the habitat healthy, and the species Ohio farmers depend on stay in the landscape where they're needed.
